History of Pantyhose - men wore them first

Men and women both have legs, and healthy legs are important to men as well, not just for women. Pantyhoses are able to assist in making legs look better and also assist in better blood circulation in legs (support pantyhoses). Don't men need to have healthy and nice looking legs?

Men, who sit or stand for long hours, should wear support pantyhose/stockings to prevent blood clot or even DVT. And we, men, should be able to wear pantyhoses (support pantyhose or sheer/opaque pantyhose) openly without being labelled as gays.

Pantyhoses/tights have a long history. Guess what? Pantyhose/tights are first worn by men. Yes, men. What's more? Tights were normal clothing for men.

Men wore tights during the 14th and 15th centuries. It even went to the extend of wearing hosiery with shorts during the 16th century.

You will see that men have been wearing tights/stockings since the early centuries. It is only during the mid 20th century (in the 1950s) that tights/stockings were worn by women.

Now as we move into the 21st century, we are seeing pantyhose/tights making a comeback for men. Many men wear them for health reasons, while others wear them for fashion and for sports. Of course, the pantyhose/tights of today are probably far more comfortable than those back in the earliy centuries.

Pantyhose/tights have the following benefits: just to list a few.
1. Provide warmth in cold temperatures (opaque pantyhoses, and those with a small amount of wool in them)
2. Provide compression/support to legs to assist in blood circulation to prevent leg fatigue, DVT, etc. (support pantyhoses)
3. Better looking legs (sheer pantyhose).
4. fashion accessories (coloured pantyhoses, opaque pantyhoses)
