Quality is important

For anyone who cares for their legs (women or men, yes men too), the pantyhose is a true must-have.  However, there are a lot of options to choose from in the hosiery market today, you may need some helpful tips to help you choose the right and quality pantyhose.

Even if with the help of the shop assistant, it would still be hard to choose the right pair since there are so many patterns, colours and sizes. What's most important is for you to be able to find the quality pantyhose that you can truly rely on and for it to last long with you.

Firstly, getting hosiery in the right size is very important for fit, comfort and support.  Most packaging will come with a size chart.  Match your height, then your weight.I find that it is important to match your height first, as the hosiery must be long enough for your legs.  Too short and it will keep slipping down, too long and it will sag at the ankles.

When it comes to colours, women have it easy ... they can wear whatever colour they like and whatever pattern.  For men, usually colours that matches your skin tone will be more stealthy and easy for the beginner (who is wearing in public for the first time).  Of course, there's no stopping men from wearing any coloured pantyhose/hosiery with shorts/pants.

When it comes to brands, personally, I prefer the brands that are made in Europe, specifically Italy.  Brands like Solidea offer good quality support hosiery.  They are smooth and have really good leg supoprt.  Furthermore, they wear like iron.  Each pair really last long if you take care of them. Each pair that I have, lasted at least a year before tear starts to show up.  Solidea hosiery do cost a little more, but worth the price.

If you are a little tight on budget, Leggs Sheer Energy and Hanes Ultimate Contouring hosiery offers a cheaper alternative to Solidea.  Both Leggs and Hanes are also quite long lasting.  Leggs in Suntan colour are well suited for Asian skin tone, which I like.

One typical characteristic of good quality hosiery is the seams and gusset. Take a very close look at it and you know it is a quality pantyhose if it has very flat seams that even when you stretch it, it nearly disappears on the surface making your legs look natural. The cheaper types come with round seams that somehow stays visible when you wear very tight clothes. Its gusset are usually made out of cotton but the cheaper ones usually do not have any gusset.
